The WWE Title, the ECW Title, the World
Title, and the Intercontinental Title all changes hands, with the
World Title changing hands not once but twice at WWE Extreme Rules 2009, live
from the New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana
tonight.

Kelly Kelly & Mickie James beat Beth Phoenix
& Rosa Mendes in the non-televised dark tag team
match.
Kofi Kingston kept the United States Title,
defeating MVP, William Regal, and Matt Hardy in the PPV's opening match. Kofi
pinned Regal with Trouble in Paradise.
Chris Jericho won the Intercontinental Title from Rey Mysterio, becoming a 9
time Intercontinental Champion. The finish was absolutely perfect. Rey goes for
the 619. Jericho unmasks Mysterio. Rey covers up his
face, Jericho scores the pin. Fantastic.
CM Punk defeated Umaga in the Samoan Strap Match.
Tommy Dreamer pinned Jack Swaggger in a Triple Threat Match wrestling under
Hardcore Rules to win Christian's ECW Title.
Santina Marella defeated Vickie and Chavo Guerrero in a handicap Hog Pen
Match to regain the Miss Wrestlemania Crown. One of the more embarrassing
moments to be a wrestling fan.
Edge, backstage, tells Vickie it's time for a divorce.
Batista pinned Randy Orton for the WWE Title in a Steel Cage Match. With
reports that Batista was going to get surgery this Tuesday for a torn biceps,
this is rather surprising. Also surprisingly short match.
John Cena defeated The Big Show in a Submission Match when Cena ties up Big
Show's leg in the ropes and locks in the STF. Show's leg broke free but he
tapped anyway. This was bad for both.
Jeff Hardy defeated Edge in Ladder Match for the World Title. Jeff punched
Edge into one of the referees in the ring. Jeff climbs the ladder under the
belt. Edge is on another ladder. Jeff has a finger tips on the title. Edge jumps
from the other ladder with a Spear attempt but Hardy hits Twist of Fate. Crowd
is going bonkers. Jeff starts to climb up the ladder. He kicks Edge in the face.
Hardy grabs the belt but Edge comes up the other side. Edge knocks Hardy off.
Hardy grabs Edge by the foot. Hardy can't hang on but now Edge is hung up in
between rungs. Hardy grabs the belt and wins the World Heavyweight
Championship.
Jim Ross is in the ring to interview Hardy when all of a sudden CM Punk's
music plays and he comes out and cashes in Money In The Bank. Punk picks up
Hardy and hits Go To Sleep, but Hardy kicks out at 2. Jeff tries a small
package, but only gets a 2. Punk kicks Jeff in the face, and hits GTS.
This time, Punk scores the pin to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
