In the most ridiculous public display of jealously over pay per view buyrates so far this year, World Wrestling Entertainment posted a story on its website congratulating Brock Lesnar on winning the UFC World Heavyweight Championship, but took some heavy shots at UFC's three hour pay per view offerings.

 

“Critics have noted that many of the fights on the UFC PPV ended in the first round, leaving UFC producers scrambling to fill the three-hour event with content," the WWE website opined, “The dearth of hearty competition left many viewers to watch less prestigious under-card fights and only served to bolster claims that UFC PPV events can often be a 'crap shoot' in regards to filling the full three hours."

 

Of course taking the moment to use Lesnar's victory as a validation of WWE,  the website stated  “For his part, Lesnar took the encouragement of the WWE Universe and the hard lessons forged during his fiery time at WWE and showed UFC and the world why he is not only a man of mettle but also a former three-time WWE champion.”
