In our continuing coverage of the WWE-CW Network split, TV Week has reported CW LETS WWE SMACKDOWN GO, which you can read in its entirety here: http://www.tvweek.com/news/2008/02/cw_lets_wwe_smackdown_go.php.
Reporter Jon Lafayette wrote the following:
The CW will stop carrying “WWE Smackdown” at the end of the 2007-08 season, World Wrestling Entertainment said late Thursday.
WWE said it began talks with other networks after the CW’s exclusive negotiation period expired on Jan. 31.
Among those likely to be contacted are MyNetworkTV, some of whose affiliates carried wrestling when they were UPN stations, and NBC Universal, which runs some WWE events in late night and whose USA cable channel carries WWE Raw on Monday nights.
