www.mmanewsdesk.com editor Arturo Collozo Jr. is live in Las Vegas at UFC 81:Breaking Point and has filed this report simultaneously here on this site and in THE NATIONAL LEDGER, which you can see at this link: http://www.nationalledger.com/ledgerpop/article_272618649.shtml.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- Sin City is buzzing about tonight's UFC 81: Breaking Point pay per view from the Mandalay Events Center. Pro wrestling's "Next Big Thing" Brock Lesnar has flown in his wife (former breakthrough WWE Diva Rena "Sable" Mero-Lesnar) and his parents (Richard and Stephanie Lesnar of Webster, South Dakota) for the event.

There is a big rumor in Las Vegas this afternoon that "30 WWE wrestlers will be ringside" for Lesnar's match, but UFC President Dana White may have confused World Wrestling Entertainment with SpikeTV's 2nd rate TNA Wrestling, which is indeed sending a contingent including Olympic Gold Medalist (and Lesnar's pro wrestling rival) Kurt Angle and veteran announcer Mike Tenay, who is a Vegas native. TNA Wrestling, always looking for any legitimacy, has been trying to make a big deal about Angle sitting with magician and television personality Cris Angel at the show.

No word on if any WWE wrestlers will be actually be attending the event yet. There was a rumor earlier today that Lesnar's on-air agent/manager from WWE, Paul Heyman was coming to the event, but he has not been spotted in Vegas, at least not yet.

Lesnar is, as of this late hour, a 2-to-1 favorite over Mir. However, Sports Illustrated joined the parade of purists predicting Mir emerges as "The Next Big Thing" tonight with a second round tap out victory. UFC Champion emeritus Randy Couture, who has an outstanding record in predictions (any SuperBowl picks, Mr. Couture?) has called for Mir to win via tap out in Round Two.

UFC 81: Breaking Point takes place tonight from the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. MMA News Desk.Com will be covering the event live online. We'll have a complete report after the show.
