VARIETY is reporting this morning that Vince McMahon will receive the Promax/BDA lifetime achievement award at the 53rd annual Promax/BDA conference in Manhattan. McMahon earns the distinction for his development of the WWE brand, which began life as a regional syndicated program and now incorporates "virtually every conceivable platform available in today's marketplace," in the words of Promax/BDA CEO Jonathan Block-Verk.

 

World Wrestling Entertainment (stock symbol: WWE) opened this morning at $17.91, and as we post this story, has climbed around 20 cents in the day's trading. WWE is about to report quarterly earnings, so look for a bump up in the stock this week.

 

This story is just breaking, but THE UK SUN has reported that Jenna Jameson, current girlfriend of UFC Legend (and soon-to-be-out-of-UFC) Tito Ortiz, caused quite the scene in London. The Sun reports Porn queen Jenna Jameson was partying in Chinawhite when the Chelsea players strolled in, still buzzing from their historic victory only hours earlier.  Reportedly, adult film star Jenna moved her table right next to the Chelsea stars and wowed them with her raunchy dancing, as they continued to rack up their hefty bar bill, which ended up at an estimated £10,000.  Though, according to reports, Jenna's night ended early after she was thrown out for allegedly attempting to take drugs.  A member of her entourage said: "She just asked if one of her friends could go in with her in the toilets to touch up her make-up before facing the paparazzi.  “But the toilet attendant said no, and kicked off. The bouncers called us American pigs, which brought Jenna to tears."
