Some media notes to catch up on.

NANCY BENOIT NUDE PICTURE CONTROVERSY

Reporter John Roth of The National Ledger wrote In a courtroom shocker, Larry Flynt's Hustler magazine has won the first round of a lawsuit filed by the estate of Nancy Benoit, which attempted to prevent publication of nude photographs of the murdered wife of Chris Benoit. You can read the entire story by clicking this link: http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272618814.shtml.

Our own Anna Elizabeth Anderson reported on the lawsuit filed by Nancy Benoit's mother Maureen Toffoloni in a story for The Post Chronicle, which you can read here: http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_212129705.shtml.

STEPHANIE McMAHON PREGNANT

Our favorite Hollywood gossip blog, www.bittenandbound.com wrote was, by far, the best story on
Stephanie's reported pregnancy so far. You can read the entire story, which we highly recommend, by

WWE

WWE is scheduled to report quarterly earnings before the stock market opens tomorrow. According to several stock market blogs, WWE is forecast to report earnings per share of 17 cents, with the Street predicting revenue of $115.01 million. One well-known blog (http://www.schaeffersresearch.com/commentary/observations.aspx?ID=82607 ) asked
"With rising price action and a thumbs-up from analysts, why are investors so pessimistic? Like Rocky Balboa, WWE shares have come from behind. In mid-January, the stock was pinned underneath its 10-, 20-, 50-, and 80-day moving averages, trading around the 14 level. Since then, the stock has managed to combat all of those trendlines, and is now positioned atop its 10-day moving average, hovering just above the 15.25 marker. From a broader perspective, the stock has been consolidating since early August, bouncing off the 14 level only to be consistently capped at 15.75. However, this week the stock temporarily breached resistance from its 50-week moving average for the first time since mid-July, but has since retreated back into its trading range.  In parity with its recent short-term uptrend, analysts seem to be gathered in the bulls' corner. According to Zacks, WWE holds 3 "buy" or better ratings, compared to only one "hold" rating. Though this configuration leaves potential room for downgrades – especially considering 2 of those ratings are "strong buys" – it does reiterate the Street's faith in the equity ahead of earnings. Despite the technical feats and analyst love, short sellers aren't yet convinced of WWE's strength. Though short interest has declined more than 7% since the latest recording period, the stock still boasts a high short-interest ratio of 9.93. In other words, it would take about 10 trading days at the stock's average daily volume to buy back these shorted shares. This pessimism in the short-selling world could work to WWE's fighting advantage; a stronger-than-expected earnings report could trigger a short-covering rally."

THE HEYMAN HUSTLE

You can laugh at the name, but a great website is www.othercrap.com , which wrote about the Heyman Hustle sneak peak lesbian kiss video with the following:

The Sun, as you undoubtedly know, is the greatest newspaper in the history of Western civilization. Probably Eastern as well, but my subscription to the Bejing Daily Tyrant has expired, so I can't really compare them. Anyway, The Sun has agreed to host NewsCorp's debut in broadband/mobile television, which is called The Heyman Hustle, hosted by rasslin' guru Paul Heyman, who is newly divorced from Vince McMahon. One week before the show's launch on February 18th, Heyman came up with a winner: a network lesbian make-out session on the streets of the Big Apple. The cast of this season's CBS SURVIVOR : FAVORITES VS FANS had a private cast party thrown at The Whiskey at the W Hotel in Times Square. CBS wanted all media banned from the private cast party, because you're not supposed to be able to see any cast members in advance. And CBS is apparently really strict on this. No cell phones in the club, etc. So all press credentials are stripped. No red carpet, etc ... so whatever press shows up gets pissed off and leaves ...but Heyman's crew sticks around, and starts interviewing people on the street. The good news: New York's smoking ban. Of course, cast members (some quite zonked from the festivities) eventually will come out for a smoke, and Heyman starts shooting them right then and there on the street. Heyman starts interviewing Ami Cusack (who was outed on the show as a lesbian and did a very memorable Playboy spread) when Flicka Smith (who is a crazy rock 'n' roll party girl) jumps into the interview and the two girls start going at it on the streets of New York! Heyman keeps the cameras rolling. A sample video is in the Sun article linked above, as a "sneak peek" into the Heyman Hustle's debut episode. Heyman, ever the promoter, commented "YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!"
