Former WCW President Eric Bischoff, who is the Executive Producer of Hulk
Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling show, has announced a new show his production
company is developing for American television.
Bischoff and production partner Jason Hervey have signed Robert Burke,
better known as
"The Naked Cowboy" to a reality show where he will judge the talents of
street performers such as himself in an "American Idol"-style competition.
"I want to see people like me, the real deal," the Naked
Cowboy exclaimed, "I'm looking for character more than anything. You
could be the greatest musician in the world, but if you stand in jeans and a
T-shirt next to me, no one will notice you."
In a press release, Hervey stated "The Naked Cowboy is one of the most
successful street performers in the country. Other shows have done a great job
showcasing competition, we plan to take a deeper dive with heart."
The show is being developed for America's "Country Music Television," where
Bischoff and Hervey present Hulk's celeb grappling show already.
Many wrestling websites are wondering if Bischoff got the idea from
watching the Naked Cowboy on an early edition of "The Heyman Hustle."
