Some notes this afternoon for you.
WWE
Popular Wall Street blog THE MOTLEY FOOL posted a report on World Wrestling Entertainment this morning, which you can read at this link: http://www.fool.com/investing/dividends-income/2008/02/25/4-stocks-that-took-a-hike.aspx . Our favorite fool writes, World Wrestling Entertainment also pummeled its old disbursement rate, yet the move has a storyline almost as entertaining as some of its grapplers' backstories. WWE is committing to a 50% dividend increase on its common shares -- to $0.36 a share -- if it receives a favorable tax ruling next month. What does a tax ruling have to do with a shareholder check? Well, the company wants to issue the increase only to its common shareholders. The Class B shares, which Vince McMahon's family owns, would stick to the old $0.24-per-share quarterly rate. Gee, a company that wants to give more to its investors than it does to itself? What must those McMahons be up to? It sounds like another great pay-per-view plot twist.
TRISH
Trish's show business career is on a roll. According to her official website, Trish will travel the world once again. Only this time she won't be inside a wrestling ring. Starting this week, she will begin filming a new travel show for the Travel Channel called Stratusphere. Stratusphere will give viewers a unique look into other countries and cultures. She will face challenges relevant to their beliefs, such as racing reindeer in Norway. The idea for the show came from a conversation with a producer she worked with on The Second City's Next Comedy Legend. "I want to travel before I start having babies and things that tie you down", she told the producer. "We thought it would be a great idea to go to these exotic locations and do an activity, something that's relevant to their cultures, but I would have to overcome a challenge." The series is slated to air this August.

RIC FLAIR
Today is Ric Flair's 59th birthday. It says a lot about Vince McMahon's viewpoint of Flair that the Nature Boy is not scheduled to be at the Wrestlemania Press Conference today in Los Angeles. Flair will wrestle HBK Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania in what will be Flair's last match as a full time active wrestler at Wrestlemania XXIV on March 30th.
