World Wrestling Entertainment officially announced tonight John Cena has
been pulled from the Unforgiven Pay Per View event and will undergo surgery for
his injured neck. No timeline was given for Cena's return. Monday Night Raw
aired tonight on Sci Fi due to the US Open Tennis tournament on USA Network, and
General Manager Mike Adamle announced Cena would be out "indefinitely."
Later in the show, Adamle announced Cena's replacement in the World Title
Championship Scramble match would be Rey Mysterio.
Also announced tonight for Unforgiven was a Non-Sanctioned Match as HBK
Shawn Michaels will face Chris Jericho; and Cryme Time get their tag team
title match against Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes.
