Despite the fact World Wrestling Entertainment officials and production staff were panicking due to how long Ric Flair's acceptance speech went, the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame will be remembered for Flair's heart-wrenching, emotional speech. We already have two stories posted on the induction, and not enough has been written about it yet. Flair thanked not only everyone he could, but went out of his way to thank his first two wives by name, along with his children and his current wife. His speech reduced many, including Shawn Michaels and Big Show to sob openly during his acceptance. While many in prominent positions in WWE may have been scrambling because the USA Network special was already half way over by the time Flair was forced to end his speech, it was one of the greatest speeches in professional wrestling history and certainly the greatest Hall of Fame acceptance speech on record.
