Just how was Mark Callaway signed by World Wrestling Entertainment Chairman
Vince McMahon in 1990?
Hulk Hogan wrote in his book that he discovered The Undertaker on the set
of Suburban Commando and got him signed by WWE. But many will point out
that The Undertaker was in WWE (then WWF) for over a year when the movie was
made.
Bruce Prichard, who used to be Brother Love, was once a huge
television producer within WWE, but was fired by McMahon early in the
1990's before being brought back towards the end of 1992. However,
during a radio interview in 1992, Prichard said that the real story
behind Taker leaving WCW (where he was Mean Mark Callous, managed
by Paul Heyman aka Paul E. Dangerously) was something that only he,
Vince McMahon, The Undertaker and Heyman knew. but because Prichard was
"sworn to secrecy," he could not reveal details behind the true story.
Heyman has made mention of this on the Facebook page for The Heyman Hustle,
which you can read more about (and see some classic pics of a pre-Undertaker
Mark Callaway never published before) HERE
