The world's most famous retired porn star Jenna Jameson and Heatherette Fashion Designer Richie Rich are opening a bar together in New York City's suddenly-hip Chinatown, and they picked a place that Rich proudly proclaims "used to be a whorehouse!"
The brothel-turned-bar, to be called The General Store when it opens in 2008, is the latest hot spot to make plans for the now-trendy 10013 neighborhood. Jenna and Rich plan to have a store in front where they will sell Richie's designs and clothing picked by Jameson.
"This is a very shrewd move by Jenna," noted www.mmanewsdesk.com editor Arturo Collozo Jr., whose site has posted over 100 updates on Jenna since she became the main attraction in UFC Legend Tito Ortiz's life. "That area of New York City is becoming the place to be, especially with David Bowie and Sting opening a classic burlesque joint on Kenmare Street."
Jenna's association with Heatherette has not been without controversy. On September 11 of this year, she appeared at the Heatherette Fashion Show in New York and actually mooned the audience during one of her catwalks.
The resulting publicity was worldwide, with Heatherette's name becoming known on a global basis simply based on the fact that a now-retired adult film actress, with over 300 hours of hardcore nude scenes to her credit, showed a little tush on the runway.
"Jenna has the amazing ability to be a market leader by spotting hot trends and capitalizing on them," stated MMA News Desk's Collozo. "She was the 1st adult film star to utilize her exposure on Howard Stern's radio show to become a mainstream name, and she spotted the more-realisitic and more-mature storylines in pro wrestling in the late 1990's and did several appearances for Paul Heyman's groundbreaking Original ECW promotion.
