Johnny Benz at www.doghouseboxing.com has a fantastic article posted regarding what certainly appears to be Yahoo's obsession with turning Shane Carwin into the Next Big Thing in UFC, and by that we mean by hyping a future Carwin challenge to the UFC Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

In the superb story, which you can read in its entirety HERE , Benz offers this opinion:

Since this past Saturday thanks to UFC 100, the net has been on a buzz. And it's Buzzing UFC! The event really lived up to the hype. Brock Lesnar who defeated Frank Mir by KO in the second round of UFC's main event on Saturday night in front of a sell out crowd at the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas, has once again landed on Yahoo.com's homepage as a feature story.

Yahoo readers are going nuts over the UFC 100. I've lost count how many times UFC 100 has made the main feature story on the hottest piece of real estate on the net, Yahoo.

This time Yahoo users are reacting to Shane Carwin's dissing of Brock Lesnar. Yahoo ran with the feature titled: "Lesnar Ripped by Challenger". Carwin has been quoted on Yahoo.com in their sports section as saying Lesnar was disprespectful to fans by giving them the middle finger and dissed Brock for having a long way to go before earning the respect of a champ.

Shane Carwin who stands at 6-foot-3, 263 pounds, is close in size as Brock Lesnar, is quoted on Yahoo.com as stating: "The flipping off of the fans that just lined your pocket with millions of dollars is just LAME! He may be a champion but he has a long ways to go before he earns the respect of a champion.”

The entire story is really good. I highly recommend this article.
