World Wrestling Entertainment followed up on its ridiculous show-closing angle from Monday Night Raw last night by posting an update regarding John Cena's condition on their website.

 

WWE reported "After knocking Cena unconscious, Layfield propped him up and attempted to smash a car into the prone Superstar. Luckily, John Cena managed to escape at the last minute and was only grazed, meaning that Cena vs. JBL will still take place on Sunday night."

 

Oh, because so many people were worried the match wouldn't take place. It's just mind-boggling how stupid of a storyline they actually closed Raw with last night, especially after TNA fans were so turned off by the end of the Victory Road pay per view that they chanted "Fire Russo" in order to voice their displeasure at TNA Wrestling writer Vince Russo's booking of the main event between Samoa Joe and Booker T.
