UFC Co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta is leaving his position as
President of Station Casinos to work full time with UFC and concentrate on
its global expansion, specifically Germany, Italy, France, Spain, China,
South Korea, Japan, India and the Philippines, according to an exclusive post by Kevin Iole on
Yahoo!Sports.
Fertitta was one of the highest paid casino executives
in Las Vegas, raking in $113.8 million in 2007.
"The UFC is going to have a global footprint in the
not-too-distant future," Fertitta told Yahoo. "We're already working on
furthering our position in Brazil. This is getting so big that it demanded
I spend more time with it."
Frank Fertitta III will remain at Stations as its CEO, and will retain 45%
ownership of UFC.
