GEORGES ST PIERRE VS BJ PENN SUPERFIGHT ANNOUNCED FOR UFC 93 AND NEWS ON BROCK LESNAR |

Ultimate Fight's Ultimate Fight will take place January 31 at UFC 93 when
Georges St Pierre will step into the Octagon against BJ Penn.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the fight, which will be a
rematch of a previous 170-pound bout in 2006 which St. Pierre won by split
decision, will be for GSP's World Welterweight Championship.
The fight was originally slated for December 27, but Canadian star GSP wanted
to take a break after fighting four times in the last 12 months. The new date
and location for the fight will be at UFC's annual huge Super
Bowl-weekend event in Las Vegas. This year's Super Bowl weekend event was built
around the debut of former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
Penn's World Lightweight Title will not be on the line in the fight.
UFC's schedule for the rest of the year includes: UFC 88 in Atlanta on
September 6; Ultimate Fight Night on September 17 in Omaha; UFC 89 on October 18
in Birmingham, England; UFC 90 on October 25 in Chicago; UFC 91 on November 15
in Portland; The Ultimate Fighter Finale on December 13 in Las Vegas; and UFC 92
on December 27 in Las Vegas.
UFC is looking at November 15th as the possible Brock Lesnar vs Cheick Kongo
fight.
