Cung Le defeated Frank Shamrock to capture the StrikeForce
Middleweight Championship tonight on the combined StrikeForce/Elite XC
show at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, live on Showtime. It was
a thrilling match, as Shamrock couldn't get a takedown, and vowed to go
toe-to-toe with Le, who apparently broke Shamrock's arm at the end of the 3rd
round with a kick. As Shamrock went back to his corner, he collapsed in the
ring, and the match was over. The third round of this fight will no doubt go
down in history as one of the most exciting, action-packed rounds in MMA
history.
