The situation with Bobby Lashley's apparent resignation from World
Wrestling Entertainment has dominated the talk within the industry today, as
many are wondering what the next step will be. As of this posting, at 8:49pm,
Lashley's profile is still up on the WWE website as part of the Raw roster. That
may be a legal maneuver by WWE, as Lashley has not yet come to terms on his
release. As reported earlier here EXCLUSIVELY on www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com,
Lashley asked for his release in a conversation with WWE Executive Vice
President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. In addition to his reported
discontent over his Wrestlemania payoff, Lashley is also said to be reluctant to
put his prime athletic years in the hands of the current roster of
agents/producers, most notably his known dislike for the behavior of Smackdown
lead writer and agent/producer Michael Hayes.
We will continue to update you on this breaking story as it develops.
