The Ultimate Fighting Championships will finally bring the Octagon to The City of Brotherly Love on Saturday night, August 8th, as UFC 101 hits the Wachovia Center. So far, the card includes B.J. Penn defending his UFC lightweight title against No. 1 contender Kenny Florian,  and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva moving weight classes to take on former light-heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin.

 

Getting the UFC to Pennsylvania for the first time is a big deal for the people at Comcast-Spectacor. “We are excited to finally be able to host a UFC event in Philadelphia,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Lukko,  “With a worldwide audience watching on pay per view, the Wachovia Center will once again be in the national spotlight.
