The media coverage of the Hulk - Linda "Hogan" Bollea divorce story has just started. The growing media frenzy is just getting into 2nd gear, and already there are several reports posted.
 
The Associated Press reported on the filing, including the quotes from the Hulkster claiming to the St. Petersburg Times that he did not know she had filed for divorce ( HULK HOGAN CLAIMS HE DID NOT KNOW LINDA HAD FILED DIVORCE PAPERS!). The AP report states Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday. Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday. "Thank you for the great information," he told the reporter. Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night. "My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes," Bollea later told the newspaper. "Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me." The couple star in the VH1 reality TV series "Hogan Knows Best," with their two children. Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile. On Nov. 7, Hogan's son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea, was arrested on reckless-driving charges after a car crash. Clearwater police said Bollea crashed his 1998 Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 while street racing against a silver Dodge Viper driven by a friend. A report said Bollea was driving faster than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.  Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured. Bollea, who was wearing a seat belt, was not seriously injured. The Hogans moved to a $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach in 2006 so their children, Brooke and Nick, could pursue singing and acting careers. They had previously lived in Clearwater, near Tampa.
 
People Magazine's website reported on the story by stating Maybe Hulk Hogan doesn't know best – after 24 years of marriage, his wife, Linda Marie Bollea, has filed for divorce.  Bollea, 46, filed divorce papers Tuesday in Pinellas County, records show. She has been married to Terry Gene Bollea, 53, more famously known as Hulk Hogan, since 1983 and the couple has two children, Brooke, 19, and Nick, 17. Recently, the couple's son has made headlines. The teen faces a felony charge that he was driving recklessly in August when his Toyota Supra went out of control and slammed into a tree. His friend and passenger, John Graziano, suffered a brain injury.  Since 1992, the Bolleas have lived in a 17,000-square foot home in Bellaire. The family's lives have been taped for the pro wrestler's VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best.  Word of the split was first reported by WTVT, the Fox affiliate in Tampa.
 
The United Press International (UPI) covered the story with this report: Linda Marie Bollea has filed for divorce from U.S. pro wrestler and TV personality Terry Gene Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, TMZ.com said. Documents obtained through Florida's Pinellas County Court Web site said Linda Bollea filed for divorce Tuesday, but the papers did not offer a reason. Word of the split was first reported by WTVT, the Fox affiliate in Tampa Bay, Fla., TMZ.com said. The couple's son, Nick, has been charged with reckless driving involving serious bodily injury in connection with an August car crash that seriously injured a passenger in his car.
