www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com's own Anna Elizabeth Anderson reported on the latest of Hulk Hogan's legal troubles in an article for THE POST CHRONICLE, which you can read in its entirety here: http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_212117113.shtml .
The story states the following:
Did the WWE's biggest star ever buy beers for his son hours before the horrific car wreck that left an Iraqi war vet in a coma?
Authorities in Clearwater, Florida have released a 133-page report detailing parts of their investigation into the August 26th car crash involving Nick "Hogan" Bollea that has left Nick's best friend, Iraqi War Veteran John Graziano in a coma and in need of lifetime care.
The report only adds to the mounting legal troubles surrounding the biggest star in the history of Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment promotion, Terry Gene Bollea aka "Hulk Hogan".
According to www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com , days after the crash, an anonymous tip led the Clearwater Police Department to the liquor store at an Albertson's in town. A store clerk told the authorities that Hulk Hogan, his son Nick, "and several other young males" (believed to be Nick's friends Barrett Lawrence and Daniel Jacobs, who were in a silver Dodge at the site of the wreck) had picked up several cases of beer earlier that day.
According to the report, the female clerk said that Hulk "paid for the purchase with either a credit card or a debit card as he signed for the purchase." She also stated Hulk "carried out two of the packages of beer and one of the other young men carried out the third package of beer."
The police report details that an officer returned to Albertson's, and obtained a copy of the receipt detailing The Hulkster's purchase, which included:
2 cases of Miller Lite beer for $11.99 each
2 cases of Corona Extra beer for $13.99 each
1 case of Miller Chill beer for $10.99
5 bags of ice for $1.99 each
Both Jacobs and Lawrance have admitted that they then cruised around in Hulk's boat, along with Graziano, Nick, and Hulk.
They say they cruised by Shephard's Tiki Bar in Clearwater Beach around 2:30 that afternoon, but decided it was too crowded. so instead of getting out of the boat, they headed to Three Rooker Island.
They then returned to Shephard's later on, where their visit was made memorable because Nick was not allowed in the bar area because he was underage. "This was stated by everyone interviewed by the authorities," noted www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com editor Matthew Cooper, "but it calls into question Hulk's responsibility with his 17 year old drinking and ultimately drinking and driving."
According to the report, the police spoke to a bouncer at Shephard's, who stated Nick;'s friends were holding bottles of Corona beer when they came up to the bar "except Nicholas Bollea who was holding a large greenish colored plastic cup."
Jacobs recanted that the group left Shephard's after about an hour. The report states the group went back to the Hogan-Bollea's mansion in Belleair, which has been made famous on the Hogan Knows Best reality television show, "lounged by the pool," took showers, and then left at about 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
The four left in two separate cars, both owned by Hulk Hogan. Nick and Graziano got into the yellow Supra, and Jacobs and Lawrance took the silver Dodge Viper. The plan, according to all who were questioned, was to go to dinner at Arigato's Steakhouse in Clearwater.
Lawrance is quoted as saying that on the way to Arigato's, the Supra, the Viper, a motorcycle and another vehicle stopped at a red light at the intersection of Court Street and Missouri Avenue.
When the light turned green, Lawrance is on the record as saying Jacobs cut in front of the motorcycle to pass Nick. They did, and then they heard the crash behind them. Lawrance told the investirgators the Supra was probably going "at or near 100 miles per hour." Both Jacobs and Lawrance have insisted that they were not racing with Nick, even though they are on the record about Nick's excessive speed.
Investigators allege Nick was racing the Supra against the Viper when he lost control of the vehicle, and crashed it on the wet road. Amongst the many charges filed against Nick is the charge that he was operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher while under the age of 21. Nick's license to drive has been suspended for a year. He is being tried as an adult on the following charges:
RECKLESS DRIVING INVOLVING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY.
USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE IN COMMISSION OF A FELONY.
BEING UNDER THE AGE OF 21 AND OPERATING A VEHICLE WITH A BREATH-ALCOHOL LEVEL OF .02 OR HIGHER.
HAVING ILLEGAL WINDOW TINT ON HIS VEHICLE.
The Hogan-Bolleas have been in the headlines this week as well due to the fact Nick's mother Linda has filed for divorce against her world famous husband.
